Iphone 4 - microphone works but not when making a call

Can anyone help. My iphone 4 has had a brand new microphone installed which works perfectly when recording voice memos. However, when making a call the other person cannot hear what is being said. The iphone repair centre I used said that there was nothing wrong with the hardware but that it was a software issue. Does anyone know any solutions? I've done a full reset, reinstalled the software etc. but to no avail. Unfortunately, the phone is out of warranty.

Can you spell leech? give it a try, maybe ban will be easier, as has been said, read the rules, make an intro in the appropriate section.

People on here can be a bit hard on those that don't read the rules but it is a great forum and once you join in the knowledge and help you can get on here is unbaliveble .. Brownie points for apologies me thinks tho some people just rant and are shown the door rather fast

Welcome mate, it is a hardware issue, so I'd send it back if you've had it repaired. It's quite common apparently? Here's a vid if you fancy sorting it yourself:
