Can I just say that Carroll's goal against Sweden last night was an absolute corker and obviously I'm chuffed that the assist came from a sublime Gerrard pass. Even in the latter days of his career he still has the ability and vision to pick out someone's head from 50 yards

    2 Thanks given to cyprus

Great Result but fuck me 2 Lucky Goals to get the win,we need to keep the ball and just play football.

Hopefully Rooney will bring some Clarity to the team in the next match,But on that note YOU can not rely on him to progress to the quarter finals and beyond lol

    Brilliant cross, even better header.

The Gerrard cross was just incredible, and the header sublime. I could watch the slow mo of Carrolls header all day. He's given Roy a selection headache, and probably Brendan Rogers a hard on! Really liked the Welbeck goal too, and Walcott has earned a start over Milner I reckon.

    Thanks to BBK

The header was a good one, but the head spin after the impact was very showy - not complaining no-one else could have pulled that off. Awesome cross and awesome header. Three really great goals. I'm there on Tuesday and I want to see a 3-0 against the Ukraine (and run the gauntlet outside the stadium) but you'll all have a better view back here on the telly.

Don't take this the wrong way people, because after my home nation Italy i want my adopted country England to win, but ffs Sweden would struggle in the Championship, and as great as Carroll's goal was, i hate hoofing the ball up to a big front man type of football, and the defending for Sweden's 2 goals was embarrassing, so i'm still not convinced by the performance, anyway hopefully they'll qualify and when they play Spain or Germany we'll see what they're really made of, but i don't hold out much hope, and yes i know, Italy are playing shite as well lol.

Shame really as it was a great goal by caroll, cant help thinking however Woy will go with the Rooney/Wellback partnership now as they played together so much that Carroll will be left on the bench, who knows though he could be a great impact player to bring on. Does remind me of when we used to play crouchy though hoofing stuff up front in the hope hell get a head on it. Great cross from Gerrard for that goal though exactly what a striker wanted and he knew that, no poing playing gerrard too deep when hes capable of shit like that. I actually think the fact that Lampard is missing will help give gerrard a bit more freedom if hes allowed to use it.

I thought he had a very good game against the French though.

Because the other choices are Jones and Martin Kelly. Both of whom would be worse. I hate Jones at full back or in midfield. I would like to see him in at CB though. I am a big fan of his, but only in his strongest position.

You need to ask more how did our defenders get in such bad positions to not even be able to defend simple goals. Where the fuck were Terry and Lescott? Bothers me way more than Johnson I have to be honest.
