    Photos Muscid fly

    This is one of the muscids, a tiger fly I think (Coenosia tigrina) that I spotted originally on the variegated laurel, but then it buggered off as I got in close with the camera, but I found it on a leaf on the apple tree, and this time I wasn't to be denied...

    Indeed Cliff. It's a dung fly actually - not that I can easily distinguish a lot of flies really from each other!
