Just thought I'd ask here because I hate their customer services, has anyone had an iPhone unlocked from three in the past after an upgrade if so was it free of charge or does it cost?

I asked the same question the other day while arranging my upgrade and was told that it was £15 to unlock an iphone 4

Ended up paying the £15.06 to get it unlocked to sell it on

I unlocked an iPhone 4 for a mate over the weekend which was on 3. Spoke to the call centre in India and lady was VERY professional and polite and everything sorted in less than 5 minutes. Just awaiting SMS (2 working days) to tell me to plug it into pc

Did they ask for a proof of purchase, I had a second user handset and they just would not unlcock it
Unless I provdided a proof of purchase.
