I can't configure the homehub to use opendns although I do have an airport extreme I could configure (if I can work it out.

Am I on the right lines or is BT responsible?

Yup, tried 563 (ssl) and 119 but it's the address is not resolving it claims which I suspect is DNS

I was working great with that setup under sky. SAB is installed on my readynas and nothing has changed there so it's defo the change to BT that's causing me grief but not sure how to work around it right now.......

You're resolving an IP in your traceroute, is that being done from the machine thats running sab?

DNS is probably configured locally on the readyNAS if it's on a static IP. Is there a web interface to configure the network settings? If so check the DNS settings there.

    Thanks to Mobius

Mobius, you're a star. the new BT Home Hub was way out on ip addresses, I updated the NAS to the correct host ip (192.168.0.254) and it's away, nice and quick

Now to get everything kickstarted into gear so I can catchup on missed downloads
