Started with Adidas and despite me wearing them all my life, they destroyed my feet!! The blisters were unbelievable!

Been through a few pairs of running shoes now - all Asics - I am currently onto Cumulus 13 Neutral running shoes. Tried some Stability and they gave me huge problems.
Prior to the Cumulus I was on Gel-1160 Neutral's that were fantastic!

Problem with the trainers is they still look cosmetically OK after 500km but you do destroy the insides of them meaning they rub again... It is important to change them every 500km or so and it is also important to break new ones in. So, when you get a new pair, only do short distances in them and gradually build up the distance so they get broken in. Still use your old ones for the long distances.

I will have the Cumulus now until the Great North Run. Will probably treat myself after that.

Some people might think 500km is not a lot and some will get away with going beyond that. For me though it is something to look forward to, another incentive

I,ve Run in Asics Trainers for the last 5 years starting with £30 low enders slowly working up through the Higher end,It was not until 18 months ago I Brought the top Asics Line - Kayano 17s.

I know different Asics trainers are designed for certain things but the Kayanos are The best Running shoes Ive Used by a country mile, the only drawback really is they cost me £110

I,m just comming up to 900km(Well overdue a new pair) in mine and they are still comfy to run but are now starting to deteriorate fast now. (I,m out 3 Days A week whatever the weather)

The noticeble damage being a small tear in the side of 0ne and the inside Heel taking a battering, I would defo by another pair and if you have not tried them Give them a go you wont be disapointed.

I,ve been thinking about getting a Heart Rate Monitor but am still undecided

Will give them a go next time. My cumulus cost £100 so I don't mind paying for useful trainers. In the past I would pay that for fashion ones'

I have let this slip recently, I have been really down and low so trying to focus on getting my head straight again and then will be back to the grindstone. My abs are in reasonable shape, just the pecs need work so will have to add a push up routine when I get up in the morning and more cycling for cardio.
