Reading around the internet, I've been watching all the 12 year old's shoving bits of card, electrical tape and all sorts into this thing to get their PS3's working again.
This particular PS3 has been given to me by a customer who had their PS3 fixed a while back and everything was perfect with it, it's never had YLOD and runs really quiet (The fault was the lens).
The issue it now has is the kid who owned it took it apart for whatever reason and has forced the drive ribbon into the ZIF Connector too hard, bent all the pins and snapped the clip that holds it on.
I'm hunting around different places for a completely new one and I'm sure they can be bought, but what I want to know is, how difficult is it to fit and does anyone on here have the skills or know-how to do it?
Can a reflow oven get this off and the new one one perhaps?
Really want to get this repaired for the obvious reason.
