Multiroom and HD should now both be Free, especially if you've been paying for it for the last 12 months. £120 extra per year for a room that's not used so much is a rip off.

Sky need to re-evaluate as it seems that a lot of customers are wising up to it.

Multiroom will never be free...but I agree concerning the HD charge after 12 months.

At my house in India we have Tata Sky which is owned by News International/BSkyB/whatever.

We get every single channel for 450 rupees which is just over £5. We get all the football (3pm games, CL, etc) all the dramas, Nat Geo, Discovery, etc.

We're just getting raped by the cunts in this country.

My mum is considering dropping Sky. She only has Sky World and a multiroom sub, but I think a lot of people are dropping them. TV is pretty shit anyway.

I rang to cancel my subscription (£43.50 per month for entertainment and sport package) with Sky last month. I didn't want any of the negotiations so my reasoning for leaving was emigration/travelling.

Cut off date was set for 17th July.

I received a phone call about about 2 weeks later asking why i was leaving. I suspect that this call was to offer me discounted package and retain my business but i stuck to my guns and played the emigrating/travelling card again.

In the meantime, we signed up using a friends and family discount code in my partners name with 50% discount for 12 months. I even upgraded and added multiroom and espn onto the new subscription, £23 per month. Installation scheduled for tomorrow morning. Bingo.

Admittedly i should've done better with the dates to avoid the 6 days downtime and the subsequent earache from my other half, but nevermind.

In 12 months time i'll qualify as a new customer myself and will try to get a new friends and family code..

I was on there website its a little confusing it's telling me it's £10.25 for multiroom and £10.25 for hd pack is this right or is it just £10.25 for a copy of what you have downstairs. As I'm looking to get multi room in

If you want another card it's 10.25, if you want HD it's another 10.25. So another card with HD is 20.50. Or at least it was when I last had sky.

    Complete rip off.

    Thanks to Geko

If you already have HD in your package then £10.25 for multiroom also give you HD on your extra subscription for no extra charge.

    This changed recently.

Regarding PC CS. If you want to use it as a viewer its doable i have had it working on windows.

I recommend a vu duo from world of satallite with VIX image. its the closest alternative to sky.

If you want to talk more in depth about it join http://www.dreamboxuk.com. You can openly talk about CS and its geared towards UK members.

Having cancelled in the middle of June and been cut off in the middle of July, i received a leaflet through the post from Sky yesterday trying to tempt me back with 50% off my bill for 12 months.

Obviously they've not checked their records to see that the household already has another active Sky account installed since then..
