West Ham have
reached an agreement for the transfer of Real Mallorca defender Ivan Ramis to
Upton Park.

According to the Spanish club, the 27-year-old can have a medical with West
Ham although no fee has been mentioned.

A statement on Real Mallorca's official website read: "Mallorca and West Ham have reached
an agreement for the transfer of Ivan Ramis.

"The defender has the permission of the club to have a medical with what will
be his new team."

Ramis had been linked with a number of English clubs but West Ham look set to
win the race for his signature.

The Spanish side also confirmed in their statement that they will "achieve
the economic objective for which they have been working for over recent weeks."
