trying new lens
treated myself to a lens upgrade from the 70 - 200mm F4 L to the 70 - 200mm F2.8 L and thought i would share a photo i took today
taken with the above lens on a canon 5d mk2 of one of my nieces with her back to the sun with the flash for fill light

Critically sharp buddy - the eye detail is right up there where it should be for L series. There doesn't appear to be anything going against your purchase (apart from the bank account hole!).
You'll be well happy with this I'm sure.

Nice purchase. I love shooting in to the sun, I now shoot all my team photos with the sun behind them and pop the flash on. result is no swinty eyes and parents with their phones can't get a nice photo of it so have to buy a print from me. LOL
never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups!:thumbup:
