I currently use a JB ATV2 to watch movies/tv shows in my gym while I'm doing cardio. I use Devolo Powerline adapters to network the house. All has been great and the network has worked flawlessly until now. For some reason recently it spends a lot of time buffering while I'm watching a show - sometimes as often as once every minute or so, then sometimes it's fine for the whole show.

There is obviously some issue with throughput but it only seems to affect the gym (maybe the wiring? But it's only started recently). I'm thinking about selling the ATV2 and buying a WDTV Hub - that way I can transfer all my content from my QNAP NAS to the HD and it should play without buffering...or am I missing something? With the price of ATV2 at the minute I should be able to get the WDTV Hub for about the what I make from the ATV2

Obviously I need to check my network but tbh everything else seems to work so not sure I can be arsed.

Any thoughts?
