    Help Advice please guys

Bit of advice if you dont mind ladies and gents.

Ive got a late 2009 unibody MacBook and im looking to upgrade to a Macbook pro.

I have upgraded the ram to 8gb. Fitted a 1TB hard disk. Its been in a Hardcandy case since new. I also have Ableton Live, Logic, Reason 5, Adobe master Suite CS5 and final cut pro etc installed.

Im looking to sell it and put the money towards an mbp.

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how much i should expect to get for it or what i should be asking for it as im quite clueless and want to get it right.

    TIA

I wwould suggest you monitor some eBay sales as asking this question on here looks like a stealth sale fom a non VIP!

Ah sorry that hadn't even crossed my mind. Have no intention of trying to sell it here. I used to be a VIP and it lapsed, didn't even realise you had to be one to sell stuff.

Feel free to remove the post, ive been checking ebay but nothing with the spec comes up hence why i wanted to pick brains here.

    Sorry for any trouble caused

In my experience pretty much the ONLY way of judging is to 'watch' some eBay sales, no good using buy now or opening bid prices as people tend to have an over inflated view of the value or their kit.

Yeah thanks dude. Thats what i usually do. I guess im just gonna have to go off the price standard ones are going for and increase my asking price slightly for the other bits.

im my fairly comprehensive experience with buying and selling apple kit, Apple users like their stuff standard, totally mint and they love it boxed.

your upgrades aren't worth a lot tbh, i put 8GB in my 2009 macbook for £40 and have messed around with the storage (2x hdd's in mine) but I know it adds almost nothing to resale value. I'd just go by current market value of the base machine and go from there, but I wouldn't expect much more than +£30 for your upgrades imho.

If your software titles come with the genuine licences then that's worth a fair lump of cash. I may be doing you a disservice (in which case I apologise) but I'm assuming they don't, meaning they're worth nothing.

Yep software valueless if not genuine and ram not really much of an issue. Boxes and overal condition are really important.
