Down to 19.13lbs. I've never been under 20 for as long as I can remember!

So turns out, this was the lowest I got. In September 15 I moved from Manchester to down south. It's fair to say the travel most weekends and the touring of pubs has done it's damage.

I rejoined SW last week, at an eye watering 23.13lbs! So that's 4 stone on in a year, that's some going. So operation slimming to get rid of the 4 stone again!

First weigh in this week, 6.5lbs down. On we go again, aiming for 2 stone by Christmas, and then the other 2 stone by the end of Feb 17!

Thank you mate, I will get back to where I was. I just wish I had the ability to say to myself, this is how we continue! I think because I set myself a target, I felt like I'd done it, and just went wild. Drinking out 5-6 nights a week, eating out 3-4 nights a week certainly had it effect.

I will get that 4 stone gone, and I will get to where I really want to be, 16 stone. Last time I was that weight, I was happy with how I looked etc. Lets do this!

Fucking hell this is hard isn't it?

Up and down, up and down!

So as my progress shows, I first recorded weight on 17th August 2012 at 24st 8lbs.

I lot a few stone, felt great, and then over the last 18 months put it all back on, and some, resulting in my heaviest weight in I can recall, in Jan 2017, at 24st 11.5lbs. I was sickened by this, knowing that in Aug 15 I was 19st 13.5, the lowest I'd been in a LONG time.

So 5 weeks later, I'm down to 23st 4.5lbs, 1.5st lost. I'm committed to getting back to 19st 13.5, as the point I last reached in the thread. from there, I'll push on until I feel comfortable.

Still loosing, down to 22 13lbs after 2lbs loss this week.

    Starting Weight : 24st 11.5lbs
    Current Weight: 22st 13lbs

Weight loss: 1 st 12.5 lbs.

I had hoped for 3.5 loss this week, to reach my 2 stone mini target I wanted, but it wasn't to be.

We push forwards and let's see where we are next Wednesday

    10/5/17 - 22.6lbs

Weighing in again on 17/05, hoping for the 2.5 stone, 1.5 lbs needed to get that.

You yo-yo a lot. You've probably heard this before, but the only real way to lose weight and keep it off is permanent lifestyle change. Diets are a waste of time for the majority. This is tough love, but if you can't commit to a lifetime of no more burgers, pies, chips, cake and booze, you are wasting your time.

And the biggest lie of them all is 'everything is fine in moderation.'. It isn't, we've been conditioned for 200,000 years as a species to eat more calories than we need when they are available. That was useful when we lived as hunter gatherers, but it's fucking useless when you have a Tesco down the street selling dirt cheap, calorie rich junk.

Overcoming hard wired instincts isn't easy, but if you focus on long term change, rather than a short term fix, you'll have a better chance of living longer.

You're bang on, for me, it's the ale, if I was serious about losing weight and getting in shape, I'd stop drinking altogether.

I'm really not at the stage where I can/want/will/ commit to that.

As if no one could predict, the yo-yo remained. By Jan 2019 I was up to 27 stone.

As of today I am 22.3 / 151KG. I have enlisted the help of a personal trainer. For the last 9 months I have cut the booze down to 2 nights a month and I have been at the gym three time a week in a 4 week rotating routine.

I have no plans to change much, sicking with my PT until we reach my goals.

Weekly meal planning, gym routines etc

Bodyfat went from 48% in Jan 19 to 33% currently. Weight, I'm not too arsed about, but the Bodyfat % and Muscle % is what I am aiming to get where I want to be.

    Goal 25% BodyFat.

This is my journey and this time it's serious, 9 months in a trip on for the rest of my life.

What's most important is, I've stopped the fad diets, WW, Slimming World, Keto, shakes etc

I've spent my time researching and understanding MACROS, BMR, TEE and such.

as Gerry Cinnamon would say, THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF THE REST OF YOUR LIFEEEEEEEEEEEe

Yeah 16:8 is a good start. Its not too hard to do either, i usually do sun to thursday 16:8 and all day fri and sat normal. Takes about 2 weeks for it to kick in, during fsting hours, black coffee and water are your best friends.

    Thanks to Sanj[UK]

SanJ I've been doing the 16:8 for 5 weeks now, and I really enjoy it! It's helped me no end!

Small correction in my earlier post last year, I was 151KG, 23 stone 7.

I've been using a PT twice a month, and sticking to my plans, it's working. I have a much healthier relationship with food and understanding portion control and limits.

Curently 140KG 22 stone. Jan 19 I was 27 stone, so took me all last year to drop 5 stone. I'm happy with the progress and if I can grab another 3/4 stones this year, whilst continuing on my path, I'd be very happy.

I really need to lose weight now.
I was down to 13 stone two years ago when my missus was a slimming world consultant.

She left when we had our little boy and everything went to shit.
I'm now 18st and feel like a house

Im not able to do the whole gym scene as chemo fucked my knees and hips so working out is painful.
My only real option is eating healthy and it's been hard making good choices at the best of times and then theres chocolate.... FFS i love chocoloate
Dont tell my doctor though im prediabetic she would kick my ass.

I only drink the odd whiskey now and then so alcohol isnt a big thing for me either.
So i really need to find something that works for me.

Another vote for 16/8 here. Though I actually do 15/9 as I found that the extra hour made me feel unwell and was ultimately counterproductive.

I eat almost perfectly during the week, it is the weekend that gets me
