    Default problem with windows cursor

Hi all just had a problem with my windows cursor on my desktop pc,

my cursor would keep jumping back and deleting the letter i had typed last which made things very awkward, i did a restore from earlier and that has fixed it but i want to know what casued it,

my cat walked on the keyboard and pressed a load of keys which seemed to cause it, anyideas what it was for future reference?

Only thing I can think of which is similar is when the ins button is pressed it copies over the characters in front of what you're typing rather than moving them forward as usual. Add in some accidental touchpad clicks (if you are using a laptop) and that could explain it.

If you think its the keyboard then unplug and give to a gentle smack on the table keys down but be prepared as the amount of shit that will fall out as is usuually pretty disgusting.

cheers, not sure what it was but system restore fixed it fine, sure it was some combination that the cat pressed but it was very annoying trying to type!

Had another idea, could be filter keys, check out the 'Ease of Access' centre in the Accessories menu if using Windows 7. It deletes keystrokes if it thinks you pressed them by accident, either too quickly or duplicate key presses. Supposedly switches on if you hold down right-shift for 8 seconds.
