grabbed the first (thanks sick beard!) read a few intros its looking good fingers crossed
Watched the first couple of these now and I will stick with it as I am liking its development so far.
Yeah i quite like the flow of these episodes. This could be good if it gets really dark.
Ah well another one bites the dust.
Despite a recent order for two more scripts – which usually to a network commissioning extra episode – 666 Park Avenue will now not survive beyond its initial 13 episodes. Its most recent episode on ABC was watched by a mere four million viewers.
The show was a kind of American Horror Story lite with O’Quinn as the supernatural owner of a posh but spooky apartment block, who would offer tenants deals which saw them attain their greatest wishes… but at a terrible cost.
It’s not a huge loss, to be honest. ITV2 has the rights to show the series in the UK, though there’s no news on when it might air. Wonder if they get any money off now?The producers of the show, David Wilcox and Matt Miller, tell TVLine that they were given enough advance warning of the impending axe to be able to make some tweaks to the final episode in the show’s 13-part run.
They say that the story “is building to a powerful and surprising series finale, where all your questions will be answered. We hope fans of the show continue watching all the way to the end of Jane and Henry’s incredible journey to the dark side.”
Fans of the show, however, are still hoping for a last minute reprieve; they were given a lifeline in the form of the news of the show’s DVR data that was released last week, showing that the ratings for the 4 November rose by a massive 77 percent when people who had recorded the show to watch later were added in. It’s unlikely this fact will alter ABC network boss’s minds, though.
Not surprised i watched 4 or 5 episodes and got bored. Sadly it just wasn't scary enough and compared to American horror storey it was like a Disney film.
I thought this one was one of the better new shows this year, I quite likd it.
Aye same here. Shame really. Agree not as scary as AHS but different type of thing really.
That trailer looks a bit light hearted for the topic but I will grab it seeing as a few of you liked it!
Annoyed by this news -
According to TV Series Finale on Dec. 22, ABC may not give viewers the closure it promised on its canceled series "666 Park Avenue."
When ABC canceled the series, they promised to air 13 episodes and provide closure for the show's viewers to some of the many questions raised by the somewhat strange, supernatural show and the mysteries surrounding the Drake.
The next episode of the four remaining was to air on Jan. 6. However, reports began appearing that suggested ABC may hold those last four episodes until the summer. A look at the schedule gives that theory credence as the Sunday 10 p.m. slot has been filled with other things for Jan. 6, 2013 and beyond.
"Happy Endings" and "Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23" take over the time slot on Jan. 6, 13 and 20. Hallmark Hall of Fame's original movie "The Makeover" fills that slot on Jan. 27. The Academy Awards broadcast airs on Feb. 24. After that, it's anyone's guess.
A spokesman for ABC stated that the last four episodes of "666 Park Avenue" may air over the summer. But those four episodes just hanging out there somewhere in limbo don't make a lot of sense without the rest of the show.
Or maybe ABC is just hoping people will forget about "666 Park Avenue" and then those four episodes will just disappear like a lot of things do at the Drake? A better solution would be to make the entire 13 episodes a summer replacement. This would refresh the story and give closure to the die-hard fans.
It's hard to say what they'll do, but a lot of fans think the show never had a fair chance. They could have tried a new time slot. Part of "666 Park Avenue" was up against TMC's "The Walking Dead." In my opinion, no show has much of a chance against that one.
What do you think ABC will do? Do you think they will re-run the whole thing, air the final episodes late or simply drop the whole thing? Please leave a comment below. You can try writing to ABC voicing your displeasure, but it may not do any good.
Damn wanted to see the rest of this.
Sadly, this is a growing trend with American TV shows.
Slightest dip in the viewing figures and they throw all their toys out of the pram and cancel the series. Problem is, they can sustain such poor practice because
I think the amount of more successful shows outweighs the less successful ones. I think however if they're going to cancel shows, they should at least provide a double length closure episode to tie up loose ends instead of having cliffhangers at the end of a season.
Yeah read something similar on eztv
Twice a week?! For some shite?! I don't understand USTV at all...666 Park Avenue - Pulled again. Replaced with...
"Happy Endings" and "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23"
Network sources have confirmed "666 Park Avenue" won't return on
Sunday, January 06, 2013, as previously announced.
When ABC cancelled 666 Park Avenue, word was that the network was committed to airing all 13 episodes. Now, it looks like that may not happen after all. 666 Park Avenue was scheduled to return on January 6th, however, ABC has now dropped the series from the schedule. A spokesperson for ABC indicated that the remaining episodes of Park Avenue may air over the summer (2013).
For the first three weeks in January, ABC will air new episodes of "Happy Endings" and "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" in the Sunday 10 PM hour while also airing new episodes in the shows' regular Tuesday 9-10 PM slots. Yes, that's twice a week for both comedies.
It really pisses me off when they cancel something mid season or after a big cliffhanger of a finale.

Oddly enough that Apt 13 shite has been pulled now as well... Which is what they wanted to show instead.
Crazy yanks and their so called schedules.
