iPhone forcing passcode change

Last night my iPhone 4s (on iOS 6) forced me to change my Passcode.

This is very frustrating as I have used the same one for years now.... I have changed it and then tried to change it back but I then get the 'This has been used recently' error...
From a quick search it looks like it could be down to me using exchange accounts on the iPhone, but it never did this before...

All I want is my old 4 digit code back

i know the feeling, iw onder if you changed the pass code ten times to other codes, then input your first one in again you want to keep it will accept it

I changed it to an 8 digit code, but imagine what that was like!
I then fought to get it back to a 4 digit code o will run with this one now I guess.

Bad move this.. If the phone was not mine then I would not be bothered, however I own this outright so you would assume I have the option..

8 digits is twice as hard to type in when you're half cut.

If you use exchange your admin sets the password policy. Speak to you IT dept
