I have been using altbinz for a few years now and I cant fault it. Will have a go with SABnzbd because a few here have mentioned it, but cant imaging how it could be better than altbins to be honest. At least for my needs. (">

Access it remotely - even from your phone.
Runs headless and runs on Python (all OS's support python).
    Organises and renames downloads.
    Emails you if downloads fail.
API to integrate with other programs - especially good with the likes of Maraschino, Android and iOS Apps.
    Schedule download times.
    Downloads directly from RSS Feeds

So many features - too many to list, but thats a start.
Just simply the best Newsgroup downloader that exists.

    Thanks to DejaVu

Ok, have set up and downloading using Sabnzb on lpatop fine
Downloaded SabNzb for my Galaxy s3
Also NZB unity and can view NZBmatrix files but when i try and download from phone it says "SABnzbd is not active, please configure"

On the NZB Unity main menu on Manage Downloads Testing SabNZBd Connection
My host is ssl.astraweb.com, put port 8080 and API key user and pass but not doing anything
Edit- In the Sabnzbd Host information do I put in ssl.astraweb.com as my host and what goes in the Path?

NZB Unity is asking you how it can access sab remotely.

You need to forward the port 8080 on your router and put http://youipaddress:8080 in that field.

If SabNZBD is at home you need to set up Dynamic DNS (or get a static IP from your ISP), forward the port Sab uses in the home router to point to the machine running Sab then in to unity Sab host will be http://yourIP:yourport e.g. http://sab.mediapc.net:2708

I don't use unity but I assume it is asking for a remote path so it can always contact Sab that is running at your home even when you are at work.

You can get free DDNS at www.no-ip.org
