iphone4 32gb, synced music, its visable, but wont play?

As above really, got a 32gb today, restored it and refreshed it etc, uploaded some music, only some tracks play, and the others are there but cant select and play them, when i go to search on the iphone, it doesnt find the songs, only the ones that are able to play, works fine on my other iphone, before restoring, the phone had 2gb of music on it, and this also done the same, so its not down to the restore...

any suggestions? itunes able to tell if music is pirated and wont play it?

I had this before and just re synced as it wasn't syncing properly first time.

Off the top of my head I'd say the sync hadn't completed so it has the filenames but not the songs. Did you sync using cable? Can you connect to iTunes again, click the phone, select the music tab and tell it to sync all music and playlists and try another sync?

So you can see tracks in the iPod app on the phone but they are unresponsive when you select them whereas others play fine?

cheers, this was the issue, itunes would freeze/not respond, i just caught it cancelling the sync,
done a diagnostics test and all is well there, still doing it tho?

ive just watched it, sync 103 songs, then it just fuckes up on the 2nd song and cancels after a few minutes...

I think if you right click the device in the left pane you can reset all messages so it will let you know the problem when you next sync.

thanks, ive just done that, its thrown an error up, that it cant find total recall (arnie book) its froze, and just cancelled out again.

im using a genuine apple usb cable, and have reduced how many tracks i want to sync.

next step is im going to restore phone to bog standard, no backup installed, and also reinstall itunes.
if that doesnt work could it be a faulty phone?

ive deselected the arnie book as this was not paid for through apple, its doing the songs slowly now, so will keep an eye on this. its taking approx 15 secs per song to sync

it just synced 37 songs fine, now its syncing the photos, all seems well, i think the 'cracked' ebook caused a conflict, i think because itunes tried concentrating on that file it just timed out.

could be wrong, but strange, im know using a genuine cable, ive reset warnings, so could be a factor of things.

all seems well for know. bargain phone at £210, iphone4 32gb and is unlocked :O)
