I've lost all my programmes/accounts and settings etc.
You'd have thought it would have just fucking imported them like upgrading from Vista to 7.
Pretty pissed off at this moment in time. No emails, no office etc.

Pity you didn't do a drive image of your win7 installation first. To be honest I probably wouldn't have either. At least your experience will be a warning to others to create a disk image first just in case. (">
this wont help you get win 7 back but a quicker way to get to restore is windows key + w and just type system restore
