Strange sabnzbd issue?

Recently, I've noticed, that 1 or 2 of my downloads are downloading extremely fast. I'm talking like downloading a 2gig file in like 4 mins, which is way fast for my connection, when the download is finished in Sab, it shows as failed, and it shows it's only downloaded a portion of the file.

As said it only happens with some nzbs, as last might sickbeard was schedules to download 3 tv episodes, 2 of them were fine but Arrow was not.

I thought this was a nzb issue, the episode I was trying to download was from the new tv series arrow s01e03 720p, but this also happened on the 1080p version also, and it happened with another nzb the other day too.

going to try a reboot, but has anyone got any thoughts?

just tried downloading this nzb on another computer and another sabnzbd. seems to be downloading fine. so it would seem the problem is computer specific?

any thoughts?

Were you using the same servers on the second PC? It may be that the release is incomplete on your servers, there have been very quick takedowns/corrupted files recently. I haven't been affected on Astraweb but some people are, I use EU SSL servers.

Well it would seem the issue isn't computer related, as I just tried to download sniper elite v2 for the Xbox on the computer I thought was downloading fine. Again, the download appears to be going super fast, a 7gig file in like 10mins??? Then at the end sabnzbd just says FAILED, hmmmm. M

I had this problem a couple of times. But it hasn't happened since I switched to my server.

Have you updated SabNZBd to the newest version?

It does happen when the file has been removed from the server, or the NZB file has the incorrect packet information in it.

yep sab is fully updated. arrow just failed on the other computer, so im assuming its NZB related. thought it was something to do with my setup. phew! lol

Sounds like a DMCA issue to me. Thats exactly what mine does if I try to download something subjected to a DMCA takedown, such as Batman.

I have an issue where SABNZBD is moaning about failed unpacks. Then I look in the folder and the item is there with 'UNPACK_' prefix.
The show is in there and plays fine.....

This is when downloading manually, if I use Sickbeard it does as it is told...

sabnzbd is showing.... 3 hours 12 mins.....

hmmmm something is def not right! and this is a different NZB file. almost everyone ive tried now

Sab guesses the eta judging by the rate its downloading at, at that particular time. Some files are not available on the server and the Pars are downloaded to repair it - which are much smaller.

I would guess that that download is likely to fail due to the same reason above. DCMA take down requests.
DCMA's are coming in thick and fast at the moment, but I reckon it'll die down soon enough. It must be costing loads to keep up with it.

I tend to go for the smaller files instead of an entire season all at once as they are more likely to fail.

Arrow s01e03 failed this morning, although supernatural downloaded fine. Hopefully its just a temporary issue and the DMCA back off

Arrow was taken down on most providers I also had to get a torrant even though I hate them. Got ep 4 this morning but don't know how long it will stay on.

Give up. I was trying to get it a while back from everywhere. That's well and truly DMCA'd.

I've just tried a 2 DVD Max Payne 3 nzb and its working fine.

nzb from newzbin, using astraweb, PM me if you want me to send over the nzb mate.
