    PC Cannot access Network Hard Drive

    Hi, I have a Western Digital Live player with a USB HDD attached, now using the WDTV software I have mapped the USB Drive so I can copy files across the network to the HDD, I am getting an error I hope someone can help with, please see below

    I am using homeplugs by the way not wireless and running Windows 7 ultimate

    Can you ping the I.P of the drive mate?

    If you can ping it (first test as above) then try removing the & and spaces from the folder name and trying again.

    It shouldn't matter but worth a try before you waste a few hours trying everything else first.

    ok ping worked, removed the & sign but same result

    I had issues with the very same live box and couldnt get a fix, someone mentioned to me to transfer files by FTP and it worked fine.

    Have you tried that?

    no but thanks for the heads up, currently looking at integrating sabnzdb, sickbeard and the likes, will see how FTP works out and go from there. Cheers
