In which case I sit corrected :-)
argh miss it again!
I didn't try and get one this morning, as my S3 is still a decent phone. But as soon as they get a decent supply, I'll be losing the Samsung for a nexus...!
Just checked eBay and these are going for around £350. Pisses me off when people have no intention of using it and are only in it to make money when real fanboys like me go home empty handed.
It pisses me off even more that there are people that will pay way over the odds and inflate the price even further. If there wasn't these people the eBay dickheads will have no-one to sell to and would be stuck with the device they have no intention of using. Fucking wankers [/rantmode]
Saying sold out on the site now. Hopefully a container full will turn up some time this week so I can get my android fix.

I will never buy inflated priced goods off ebay. I'd rather wait or go without. I hate those profiteering cunts.
lol, I hate to admit that I am still annoyed about yesterday
There have been stories in both the Sun and sky news about the immediate sell-out, so I guess that google got the desired effect by 'understocking'.
Shooooooo-ryuken!

Anyone received the following email :-
'Thank you for your recent purchase on Google Play. Due to overwhelming demand, your Nexus 4 is on backorder and is expected to ship within three weeks. We’ll send you a notification when your order has shipped and will credit the shipping charges.

Tossers!!!
Politely replied with :-
'Thank you for taking the piss and not letting me know this 2 days ago when I placed the order. People who placed the order after me have received their phone, surely a company the size of Google should be free from this magnitude of ineptitude?
Why on earth would you commit to something if you can't fulfil demand, how was I able to place an order for a product that you knew you didn't have in stock? Pathetic. I can't cancel it as I don't have any other options now, I've sold a perfectly serviceable Galaxy S2 to fund this purchase, and I'm using my old spare phone that I'm now stuck with until this enormous cock up on your part is rectified.
And you'll 'credit the shipping charges', oh wow, thank you for your generosity, the least I'd expect would be a free upgrade to the 16gb model I initially wanted but was unable to purchase due to another cock up at your end, i.e. the inability of your servers to process my purchase without timing out and throwing up errors!
Thank you Google.'

Makes me feel a bit better that I was late to try to order. I will wait until the new year.
mine arrived today
if anybody has any questions
You're lucky that you actually managed to place an order. I was trying hard on my phone as I didn't have access to a PC but it kept timing out. If you are expected to wait 3 weeks I'd hate to see how long it's going to take for them to actually release more stock on the website.
copied from my av forums post
been having a play with mine tonight
my initial thoughts are
blimey its fast absolutely no lag at all doing anything
it feels just about the right size and weight and more comfortable to hold than my s3
took a few indoor photos with really low light levels and i am impressed with them
audio output is very clear when hooked up to my hifi in the kitchen and using my portable power speaker (felt like it could do with just a couple of higher volume notches) though sounded very good using google music and some of the equalizer settings
first time i have properly used google music without putting any music on the phone and its superb
no need to store any music at all on the phone
placing the nexus beside my samsung s3 you can see the real differences in the screens whites look really white on the nexus and you can see the s3 while looking very bright doesnt look very natural
new keyboard is very good
speaker position is a bit silly if you have it face down a lot as it does get very muffled
the navigation keys should go while running full screen games but they dont (no doubt a custom rom would sort this
for 289 it is a fantastic device and i would recommend it over an s3 if you could live with the memory issues
now looking at the silly ebay prices i am tempted to sell it on and pick up a nexus 7 with the profit and just wait until the nexus 4 comes back into stock
vanilla android is fantastic and i dont think you will find a better brand new phone at this price point
just found out about the lockscreen widgets as well

If anyone is keen to get their hands on one it looks like O2 still have LG tv's to giveaway.
Applies to pay monthly contracts bought instore (although some PAYG buyers are getting lucky).. the first 232 to tweet @O2 with the tag #lifesgood with a pic of the phone & receipt will be asked for further info and receive a 32" LG tv.
Looks like the popular choice is to pay £179.99 for the handset with the £13.50 tariff...cancel the data bolt on to bring down to £10.50/month. If you win the tv, sell it and pay off the contract
Currys currently selling the tv for £400.
Looks like I might struggle to get one of these for the wife for Xmas then. She is also after a 3s 32gb nexus 7!
