IP Cam help needed

I have been given an IP Cam, a Fuho 656 (IG328)

It connects to the network fine and I can view the cam action through internet explorer fine.

It has the facility to email jpgs and also record on movement and send vids to ftp.

The problem is that I cant get it to send to the ftp, or save images locally.

The local jpg saving works on a friends PC at his home and at work, but not on either of my two laptops either at work or home (we work at the same place).

I did get the ftp to work once, so it seems as though the camera does work and its firmware processes the email or ftp requests, but my experience is that it is either flakey or not working, whilst my friends experience is different. Any ideas?

Ask Detector for a copy of his software seems to do all you wanted and the reviews were very good.

Thing is that the cam manages recordings and ftp, not the pc

The cam works without a pc being on, it is connected directly to the network and the ftp settings are in the cam setup screen

Wheres the Ftp, are you ftping to your local pc or to an outside location, have you given it a correct default gateway etc?

possibly port blocking?

depends on where you are ftp'ing to, if to a local pc, does it have ftp running?
