4.31 update crashes black ops 2

For some reason I cannot play online as it keeps saying servers unavailable, so I decided to update the firmware to 4.31 and now the game crashes on start up!? Anyone having issues with the game or am I the unlucky one..

It's happening to lots of people. One solution is to sign out of PSN before you start the game.

Apparently if you did the graphics install and remove it, it fixes alot of in game lag.

I'm not touching anything though, there is some slight lag but I'm doing so much better on this then MW3. For some reason the gameplay reminds me of counter strike : source.

It was working fine when I first got it on Friday, the next day it said servers unavailable, did the 4.31 ps3 update then made it worse by crashing the game on start up, sign out of psn and back in seems to fix the crash but still can't play online!

Delete everything from the game and try again?

What is the version number in the top right hand corner once you select Multiplayer? It should begin with 20.

If it end with -1 then you may have been banned from the servers.

Yeah it's 22.01.-1 something like that, banned?! My console is legit?!

I would get in touch with customer support then. There have been loads of legit people wrongly flagged for a ban. I think you are one of them.

I called them and they said its because your not connected to the servers, pissing me off this is, apparently I'm one of the people effected, when all my mates seem to have no problems

Mine was fucked yesterday. Afrer cleaning the disk, wiping all game data it started to work. My error code was also 22.01.-1
