    Default Turnover of Limited Company

When abbreviated accounts are filed at companies house the info available is limited to say the least... no details of turnover or profit.

Would any of those credit reference companies have access to more data.. or is it a case of they just provide the same info from companies house but in a fancy format?

The credit reference agencies only have access to the same abbreviated info, the only place the full accounts have to be submitted is HMRC. They all like to put their own interpretaions on them hence the differing advised credit limits. The only certain thing is they're below the audit threshold - turnover below £6.5 million and balance sheet net value below £3.26 million

There is always meta data for example invoice payment behavior, the success or failure of the directors previous and other companies, mortgages, charges and CCJ's etc. Though I do agree, each "reporting company" has its own way to calculate a credit score and most ain't worth the paper they are written on.

Only credit scores and limits that are acceptable credit insurers really mean anything.

A lot of that is arbitrary at best, invoice payment details based on the few companies that supply info to them not all suppliers etc. directors can be registered at multiple addresses so not all other associated companies show. Experians Delphi score is a farce in many ways

    Thanks to hoponbaby
