Default Dell 1320 Laser printer ghosting

I have supplied a few of these printers before as the toner is incredibly cheap, quality is very good for bulk printing and this model is made by Xerox.

I am having trouble with a couple of them, one problem is sometimes when printing there is a ghosted image of the previous page on a page and sometimes there is a ghosted image of the same page a little further down. I have uploaded a scan of some of these pages so you can see for yourself:

The printers 12 month warranty ceased in March this year, would this be covered by the EU 2 year warranty or is it classed as wear and tear? I have searched online and some places talk about a similar problem which is fixed by getting an air compressor on some mirrors but this looks different to their issue. I did remove the print head but couldn't see these mirrors. I would usually put it down to the print head but there are online reports of people replacing this and it not helping. Also the part costs as much as the printer did originally!!

    Any help or advice appreciated!

Are you using original or refill EP toner carts?

Third party toners mate, online users who only use original toner have complained too about the similar problems.

Have you tried setting it to thick paper in the settings?

No I haven't tried that, does that make the fuser work harder to fuse the toner to the paper? Will give that a shot!

Only time I have seen this problem (not on a dell) is when paper has become trapped and removed and find setting to thick paper for a while cured it, not idea I know but the next best thing to a cure is a solution.

Going by the distance between the ghosting, I'd say the fuser unit rollers needs a clean mate. Do this when it's cool. You can generally get an idea of which roller is causing the problem based on the distance between the ghosting, the nearer the ghosting is to the original, the smaller the roller that's probably causing it, the further the distance, the bigger the roller ( a large distance would indicate a problem with the toner drum for example as it has a larger surface area)
