    Help RGH noob help....

Plan on gettin stuff to finally RGH one of me consoles in next couple of weeks.... have done a bit of readin but thought I would get some input from the DF'ers...

Am I correct in thinking all I need is a coolrunner kit ???!?!?!?!

TBH I dont plan on doing it myself.. gonna try find someone who wont spunk solder all over the inside of my XBOX as would happen if I did it. Dont have steady hands and fingers are like cumberland sausages

    Do I also need to get a nand-x ?!?!?!?

    Thanks for any advice.

I think some of the tuts I have looked at are out of date so thought I would ask

You will need a one-time use of a nand-x (ie you could borrow one) and a coolrunner which remains in the console.

Without hijacking the thread too much, someone's meant to have done mine over the past few weeks, but reckons he's having problems doing it because it's a Zephyr and has now reset it back to stock. The Coolrunner is soldered in and he's going to leave it in. It's now updated to LT v3.0 instead. It's a 2009 Elite IIRC.

Any truth to that or is he just being rubbish? Can I still get someone with more experience to sort the RGH?
Apparently it worked 1 in 4 boots, but after a while stopped booting all together.

dejavu would have thought that would have been a falcon, the zephyr can be a pita.

Macmilm, if its a slim, instead of nand x go for jr programmer, then you can feck about with the on/eject sounds too, also what dash are you on might need dgx when its released depending on current dash version.

Turns out its a Falcon not a Jasper as previously thought but from what I have read its only Xenon's that are a problem.. right?

Appreciate the offer mate...not gonna attempt this myself tho... awfull at soldering.. hopin to find someone to do it (hint hint) - cash waiting lol
Main problem at the mo is finding a coolrunner in stock.. everywhere says out of stock.. have found one but suspect it is not genuine xecuter!!!
Am i best to avoid the rip off coolrunners due to quality e.t.c

    Suffolk / East Anglia mate..
Think I have managed to find one that claims to have CR3 Lite in stock (ukmodchips.com)
I assume it would be genuine from them but never used em b4.

Do I need to get a QSB aswell ?
