Am I right to think binsearch is a little more of a pain to use as there are extra clicks to create an nzb and also no notifications of new release? Other than that I can still get all the same content from it?

Yes or use nzbindex.nl

Binsearch is a raw usenet search engine so you can find everything but sometimes have to know what to search for and there are no comments so you won't know if there are problems with a NZB etc.

Do you think it will go back to downloading the groups and sifting through?
Hahaaa it's been a while since i've done that, i remember having VHS tapes racked up under my tv and the pc i had for downloading at the time would just flip out when downloading the bigger groups it just couldn't handle it.....

Not sure how the invites work at nzbs.org I have been a member on there for years but never had any invites to give out

Gutted but not suprised. NZB Matrix was deffo monitored for dmca takedowns and as previously said this could be a good thing. Lets go back underground and hopefully things wont get taken down so fast.

I agree that whilst this is a pain, it might not be a bad thing in the long run. Its the existence of nzb's that made usenet easy and usable by the masses that brought it to the attention of the take down mob. Hopefully they will steer clear now.

But seriously, any usenet site that has a American managed domain name is probably doomed.
That is .com, .org etc.
(when are people going to understand that this is the new evil empire - sorry no offense intended to decent Americans, you can't help it as long as you do not support it)

Probably any domain hosted in a country that is a serious USA puppet too, like the UK (.co.uk)
Look for sites hosted in truly indpendent nations, or third world countries.

nzb.su has an absolute class choice because it's a Soviet Union domain, the glorious nation where I am proud to have been born...! It was a master stroke of them to use this as their registration country, and I wouldn't have thought it would be possible.
Lord only knows who manages .su domains, but I would guess somone in Russia who is unlikely to be taking orders from the USA.

So if I am parting with any more money, I'd definitely go for a "SAFE" domain, meaning not something managed from a pro-USA country. Ideally somwhere ending with .su .by .ru .cn (a country that is not under US control).

Alternatively a third world country where the IT scene is still a bit wild west.

I just banned a spammer but in there he made a good point, the site I have recommended is a .su domain, we can expect lots of sites to spring up out there and hopefully they will be reliable and not loaded with dodgy scripts, keep your wits about you.
