    Info Netflix or Lovefilm?

which do you lot prefer, personally i think Lovefilm is/will end up being the best.
I must admit i do like netflix though because their lax subscription checks have given me 3/4 months free of charge
but i think Lovefilm over the longrun will have more and a better choice of filums (yes i know its spelled incorrectly)

I like Netflix. I must admit the only reason is that we have a UK Netflix subscription and by using Blockless.com (or a similar service) we can access US Netflix on our Apple TV.

Neither they are fucking rubbish - the quality of the stuff I had when I had trials for both was a fucking joke

I would rather and will continue to download stuff in 1080p goodness for free

I'm going to sign up to them both for free trials until another nzbmatrix comes along to see how I get on. Imagine love film with the bluray is going to win for me though, providing they send what I want.

    Default Netflix or Lovefilm?

If there on demand collections were as good as walking into a blockbuster store it would be a no brainier even at say 15 quid per month, but it's nowhere near, full of b list movies and the odd blockbuster, gonna stick with my nzbs for now

i did have a free trial of lovefilm but found it even worse for my needs

we bought a Netflix subscription recently to use at my GF's house as she doesnt have (or want) the whole NAS/Streaming setup that i use at home so she just has netflix on her wii and we use that too watch TV Shows etc. for the money i dont think its too bad considering that's all the outlay she has, havent tried LoveFilm but might give them a go in the future

I'd happily sign up to either if they support Linux, stupid really because there is a huge XBMC market they could tap into.
I think a lot of people have to resort to illegal streams, because even though they are willing to pay they cannot get the service they want.

Had a free trial with both and paid afterwards to carry on with Netflix. Lovefilm was a bit bobbins, but it was about 6 months ago now.

apparently this has been reduced to 2 devices but have never tried with more so cant report if its still the case

i know for a fact i have used our netflix account to watch a movie at my house whilst my girlfriend watched another movie at hers on the same account so you could share an account with 1 person at least

I've grabbed a 2 month free love film trial. The trouble is that I'm so far in front with all the stuff I've downloaded that I've only added 5 bluray that I actually want, and I've already downloaded 3 out of them but not watched them.

been with netflix since the launch and watch something on it most days. I've watched loads of old series' that I missed first time around (and probably wouldn't have caught otherwise) and tons of films that I would never have seen. Wouldn't be without it as we always find something. Currently rewatching spooks and waking the dead, watching covert affairs, white collar and warehouse 13 from the start and sons of anarchy. We also share the login with our niece and she watches movies every day on it as she loves chav comedies and obscure horrors both of which are in abundance.

I watched the whole of the inbetweeners on it, all of breaking bad and californication amongst others. My step daughter is a dr who fan and she's watched them over and over on there too.

I think it's well worth the cash tbh.

So a couple of questions on netflix:

    1) how many devices can I connect (not at the same time) - I would want PS3, tablet and possibly xbox (but i guess i would need to have XBOX Live for that right??)
    2) is £5.99 the only plan avialable in the UK
    - Plan for Tomorrow - Live for today - Hail to the King Baby -

I think you can have 2 devices simultaneously. I know our niece watches stuff the same time as us on my acct and it's never caused an issue. There's no limit on the number of different devices you use.

I have used it on iPhone, iPad, android phone and tab, xbox(yes with live), ps3, pc, mac and my wdtv has it's own Netflix client.

What I also love, which I forgot to mention is that if I stop watching something half way thru, I can continue on any other device from the same point.

I can do that on XBMC.

What's the quality like? I only like to watch TV in a minimum of 720p.
