Upgraded my managers iPhone 4 from IOS4.1 to IOS6 and ran into a few problems. I have updated a number of iPhones to IOS6 and it's fairly straightforward but I'm after making a complete hash of this one. I did do this in a bit of a rush and did not verify the backup before I went ahead with the upgrade. To cut a long story short the phone has updated to IOS6 but has wiped all contents and will not restore. I had assumed there was a vaild backup taken but was mistaken and then found out that the user had never backed up the phone or synced it with Itunes since the initial setup. I think the only way to recover any data is by some data recovery method. Is this even possilbe? I think I can download any music purchased with iTunes store and contacts should be fine as it's linked to an Office 365 account but pictures and messages is the big one. If I could get them back I could save myself a lot of grief. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will never touch another iPhone again unless I am sure there are multiple valid backups available. Please help me!
