'30 Rock' Final Season: Julianne Moore to Return

The more we progress through ‘30 Rock‘s’ final season, the more the impossible seems to happen. Not only are both Liz Lemon and Jenna Maroney finally married (not to one another), but the acclaimed series itself will finally close its doors with the January 31 series finale. And as the show cycles back through past guest stars, will Jack Donaghy find his happy ending as well? Could a returning Julianne Moore provide the answer? Details inside!

The trip down memory lane for ’30 Rock’s’ final season continues, hiring yet another past guest star for a return appearance. This time around, the Associated Press reports that ‘Game Change‘ star Julianne Moore will reprise her role as Nancy Donovan for the show’s final season, Jack’s one-time love interest and fellow Massachusetts native.

Fans of the series will recall that Jack and Nancy eventually got together, before the relationship was quickly dashed by Avery (Elizabeth Banks)’s pregnancy. With Liddy born, and Jack and Avery amicably divorced, might the road be paved for a happily-ever-after between Jack and Nancy? Will Jack close out the series by stepping down as an NBC executive and returning to his Boston roots?

Few other details are known of the January 31 finale, but it’s been established that NBC and ‘Law & Order: SVU’ star Ice-T will put in an appearance. A number of past ’30 Rock’ figures are also expected to show up in season 7.
