When I saw the thread title "7 nights somewhere warm"

I was thinking of my garage which has an old filled radiator on 24/7 you could have !

Seriously though 2 Adults and 2 Kids last minute outside of Europe..

    What about Morocco ?

That reminds me. I used to have a garage like that about 12 years ago. Bought an oxy acetylene welding set from a m8 and he helped me get it to my garage in the middle of winter. As soon as I opened the door and the heat hit him he said to me "fucking hell. Your obviously not paying for your electric are you". The fact that it was the only building in town without snow on the roof was a dead giveaway as well. (">

Define warm. What sort of temperature range? Unless you go south of the equator you won't be getting much warmer than mid-teens Celsius.

Cyprus is ok during mid-day but fucking cold at night and in the morning.

Looking at a map, the Canary Islands fall on the roughly the same line of latitude as mid-Egypt but you say you want non-EU. That leaves Africa, which personally I would avoid like the plague. Civil unrest in most northern countries. Filth, disease, corruption in the rest.

Yes the "non-EU" is a bit of a shame as the Canary Islands would be around the early 20 degrees over Xmas and NYE. Flight times are between 4 and 5 hours.

I did Cyprus 7 year ago for new years eve, Paphos was nice during the day but like cyprus said bloody cold at night lol.
I was saying non Euro as most will be euros so £ to euro will be crap.

it's a last minute thing really ill be sat at the doors of the travel agents on 27th and see what bargain I can pickup kids havent a clue what im planning so should be a nice surprise for them.

It's looking like it may be Egypt as its in the early 20's so not hot but nice relaxing weather with a beer in hand.

    Thanks to consoles

Cyprus is a complete gamble from October to late April....could have a right result but could be pissing down and bloody freezing.

I guess your best bet if you are thinking of Egypt is for an all-inclusive resort where you don't have to step outside the place?

    Thanks to Roach-Rampino

yer, ideally, so if anyone knows a decent hotel.
looking the late deals atm i could bag a 4* hotel AI for around £350pp which is quiet a good deal.
Once its the christmas holidays though i can see the prices going up even the late deals.
