    Tech Bypass windows login password?

    Hi guys,

I seem to remember a while back there was a work around the windows login password but i'm sure this can't be possible.

I've got someone who has forgotten their password on their new laptop having been away travelling for 3 months! It;s the only account on the machine running windows 7.

I've told her the only option would be to take the drive out and hook it to another pc and copy the docs etc over an then re-install Windows 7.

is there any other way do you think?

Plenty of ways to defeat Windows security.. https://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=e....1.Ir42VTgncik
Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it

    Default Bypass windows login password?

Offline NT password and registry editor will do it:

    Default Bypass windows login password?

Thanks very much guys. Will have a try with a few of these.

I should have googled but it was late and now I have some decent recommendations I can get on google and get cracking. Pardon the pun.

Konboot (64 bit win 7 needs the commercial version) can get into windows with a blank password, you can then remove the pass iirc but Spotmau will just wipe the. Pass permanently so is better for you.

Hirens Boot CD (15.2 now) has everything you need.... it includes 'offine NT/2000/xp/vista/7 password changer' and loads more (hundreds more utilities). An essential bit of PC kit.

    Thanks to Zippeyrude

That NTPasswd above works a treat and is the quickest (and free) one I've seen!

    Thanks to reverend

Thanks again guys. I downloaded and tested NTPasswd reset and have just tested it on an old laptop.

Had one problem, in that at one point you need to type '!', however the shift and '1' wouldn't work on the laptop keyboard. I plugged a usb keyboard in and it worked fine.

    Thanks all again.
