    Default Roseberry Topping

Drive past it every day but have never taken a picture of it. Covered in snow it looked stunning so had to stop for a quick snap. Need to take more, just need the sun to come out again.

It's a gorgeous scene either way. Bit far away otherwise I'd be tempted to take a drive over there.

The wife has been wanting to have a nice walk up there for some time. Maybe when weather gets a bit nicer. Great photo btw.

decent weather today so had a crack at a panaramic . not keen on the sky though, and the trees look a bit meh... without snow/frost.

Really lovely Pano. However it's very dark.

When you're shooting snow, you need to increase your exposure compensation by +1 or so. This compensates for the camera automatically increasing shutter speed or decreasing aperture size (depending on what mode you're photographing in).

I hope you don't mind but I've made some very minor adjustments to curves and exposure just to up the brightness a little. It could be tweaked a little more to boost contrast and bring a bit of saturation back in the sky but it's just an example. You'll see your whites are more white too.

got to ambitious with the second 1. Ended up 30000+ thousand pixels wide, photoshop compalined about that. Every image in the sequence was way off to each other, making it a ball ache to match. I got dis heartened putting it together. The final result wasnt what i was after

Noticed my original panorama shot has a large area in the trees on the right that has the detail mashed so will have to go back in and fix that.

Gotta say this second image here isn't as good mate. It's missing all the lovely detail in the foreground plus what with the sky being somewhat more cloudy, it loses the contrasting colours. Still, you've god the right idea and the place has a lot more potential for you. You're lucky to live so close.
