IK. On MSN i could chat all night using msn live messenger through my mic. They could hear me and also i could hear them.
I cannot seem to find how you do this on skype. it looks like you have to pay for credits or subscribe.

Last time I used Skype you only needed to pay if you were using either skype in or skype out numbers (or whatever they are called now). Have you calibrated the mic etc?
How about a positive LSD story? Would you like to see a positive LSD story on the news to hear what's it all about, perhaps? Wouldn't that be interesting just once?

Yes done everything, setup the mic. I think they also have to have skype. not many people migrating over yet so ive re-installed msn live till they all do

I think skype is a bit of a backward step at the mo but microsoft got to push it after spending all that money on it.

Skype is Free, the same as MSN. You only put in Credit if your ringing landlines with it.
Skype can be a bit of a pain to setup as it can sometimes see 2 microphones on your setup when there is only one.
You need to check the settings in it to do it.
I can TeamViewer in and try to sort it for you if your want Mickey, but you should be able to sort it. It'll simply detect your speech when you have it done right...

PM your Skype name and you can try chatting with me (again!), think the last time we spoke was almost 3 years ago! lol
Sending a message from Skype to a non-member will send an invite to their email too.
Or click the Skype symbol under my 'Karma Level' - although I think that might be broke now seeing as Microsoft now own Skype.

as long as someone is logged on to skype from your list they will show up on your list in green as available, if you click on that person once, then you will see on the right of the friends list a window open up, just hit 'call' and it will call them to pick up a call. you only need credits to actually call someone, thats my understanding. I have made hundreds of calls for work in skype and once you do it once you will realise how simple it is.

You have to pay if you conference call even with skype to skype, only 1-1 calls "free".

This only applies to video calls, group voice calls are free.
