Not done any video conversion in ages...
Think that AVS Video coverter or DVDFab might be okay.
I'd be considdering downloading the films TBH. Leave a load of them running over night kind of thing.

Handbrake has always been my favourite for ripping for iOS.

I second Handbrake with the libdvdcss.pkg installed to rip direct from DVD.
Handbrake. Rips a DVD in 30 mins with a low failure rate

I use Handbrake or AnyVideoConverter if I want to watch the videos on my my ipod. It has a special profile for iPods
Handbrake for windows is perfect, set it up for someone the other day
