Replaced Screen on iPhone 4S, now pictures are missing.

Where is the SD card or equivalent on an iPhonse 4S?

This customer asked me to replace the screen, which I've done and everything spun back up fine.
Only problem is the original photo's are missing somehow.

The odd thing is, take a picture, the phone saved it 1 of 1.

Could anything here interfere with the Storage of Photographs? The only thing I can think of would be the battery off of it for a couple of hours, but that's dumb.
Is there someone under there that can be shorted (by mistake) and wipe the Storage memory of the iPhone 4S?

Have done loads of 4's and 4s's and never had this problem to be honest anything that would lead to wiping photos would probably wipe everything else as well

Was the screen initially dead/blank? If so, no chance the photos were deleted by random screen presses previously or do you know they were there (seen over USB etc)? Is there another folder that's been created perhaps?

yep never wiped chip and ive lost count of number ive seen and in the worst states ever they prob sync'd and wiped with the broken screen or data wipe option if entered wrong passcode more than ten times

Screen was cracked but still usable. Went to his house to replace the screen, but the replacement was knackered, so had to return to his old one again.
He reckons since I left, he's unable to find any photos he took on his phone...?!

I thought it was odd, but I'll check it out Thursday/Friday, once I get the replacement screen.

The screen lock was active when he gave me it, I just undone the back and removed the battery... etc.

Ditto. Changed 3 or 4 screens on the 4s never lost any pics, files or settings.

if he'd lost pics he'd have lost everything else, including settings etc. bet he's done a restore and not backed up.

I've done loads of these and never heard of anything like this. Ask him if he had photo stream enabled on iCloud and if not and he hasn't backed up to PC then they can't have been that important to him. If photo stream was set up all he has to do is connect his iCloud account and the phone will download them or install iCloud panel and its added to my Computer.

I thought it was literally impossible to wipe. Just needed some verification.

Will check what's he's done tomorrow.
