    Photos Polaris

I took one of my longest star trails I've ever taken last night. The moon was pretty strong in the sky so couldn't take a continuous exposure so opted for a stacked image instead. This is made up of about 280 x 30s images all stacked together;. Had I have shot continuously for that time I'd just end up with white from all the moonlight I actually ended up shooting about 30 minutes more than I used, but decided not to use the last ones as I'd started getting some light flare from the moon on the lens.

And no, I didn't stand there for 3 hours, I setup the tripod in the back garden and went inside for the duration

I'm not usually a big fan of star trail pics but have to say that one is fantastic
If nature always takes the easiest route, what's easier...?
The creation of billions of galaxies each containing trillions of stars each with their own solar systems, some with planets that have evolved civilisations with billions of different life forms. OR The creation of just your imagination?

    Thanks to Soulassassin

    Love it mate. Cracking shot.
How about a positive LSD story? Would you like to see a positive LSD story on the news to hear what's it all about, perhaps? Wouldn't that be interesting just once?

"Today, a young man on acid realised that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. That we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death, life is only a dream and we're the imagination of ourselves... Here's Tom with the weather".

    Bill Hicks

    Thanks to big-paul
