Good luck.

Best of luck mate. Stay relaxed and don't try and pre-empt questions or your possible answers in your head... doing that can easily lead to you not actually concentrating on the current conversation and could seem you're not bothered or day dreaming.
And don't slouch or cross you arms.

How did it go?
Hi folks , the interview went really well. Lasted about 40mins where they didn't bleeding ask me one of the questions I had prepared. Typical! Lol. I actually had to push them to ask me the questions so I could give them the answer I had in my head.
I had a walk around of the power station after and that lasted longer, it's a very interesting place. Had a call from the agency afterwards saying they were very impressed with me and the amount of research I had done, and that hey only had 1 more interview to do and would have an answer for me hopefully for today.
It's a big drop in salary which I can't do without at the moment, so unless they offer me something close to my current wage I really doubt ill be able to accept the job, the commute is a bit of a bitch too without a car, which me and my partner share.
Lots of factors to take into account, but ill know for sure by the end of the day/ week.
Such a weight off my shoulders, I was definitely over thinking the interview process.

well I got the job, but had to turn it down due to the salary offer which they weren't willing to move on, what with the wedding coming up i cant afford to lose a single penny.
gutted to say the least.

This interviewing game aint that bad really is it, well done tho for getting offered a job at your first try, should give you plenty of confidence ;-)

Ah well, the joys of paying tax eh?
I went to more than 50 jobs interviews before I got my first proper full time job.
It was the back end of the early '90's recession and I was getting pipped to pretty much any decent job as I had no experience and there were plenty of jobseekers with experience competing for the same vacancies as me.
It was pretty depressing at times but I soldiered on a eventually landed a great trainee job that I stayed in for 5 years.

not too fussed about paying tax, im claiming it all back in a month anyway. its just that money is already accounted for towards the wedding.
its the reduction in salary thats the issue.
it certainly did give me a confidence boost getting the job, and ill keep applying and putting my CV out there, something is bound to turn up :- )
I'm obviously missing something here as it has been 20 odd years since I went for a job interview but don't you actually get told what the salary is either in the job advert or at very least in the interview?
CallmeGoose (6th March 2013)
i was aware of the higher end of the salary in the job advert, but the recruitment agency had told me that originally they had the spec out for a much higher salary so I sort of had inside info that they could potentially offer more. i wasnt told in the interview as this would be negotiated by the recruitment agent once the job had been accepted. it just so happened I needed a little more than what they were offering, but they werent willing to move higher, even though they had offered higher in the past. tough times i guess.
I have actually had an interview (internal appointment) where I wasn't told the salary. Even after the interview and they asked me if I wanted the job they wouldn't give me an actual figure because they were playing me off against another guy who was on a much lower salary than me to begin with.
Its becoming more common through agencies... I think the agent intentionally doesn't tell you... gets you an interview then tries to "sell" you to employer based in skills/experience e.t.c
but cant always get the figure you want
Had a couple like that myself
