Old Nokia 6500s Unlock?

Well a bit of a long shot this but here goes, my mother is 72 and shes only ever had cheap nokia phones she just lost one so I dug out an old Nokia 6500s that ive had in my man drawer for years, I know its not great but its perfect for her and it stays turned off all week until match days at old trafford where shell take it and ring me after the game to see where to meet.

Anyway its locked to Orange and shes on Tmobile, now im sure if it was a modern phone it would work fine, however as its from about 2008 it was before the merger with tmobile/ EE etc so I get a restriction error when i put her sim in.

I went looking for a few unlock code sites and manged to find a few free ones I have tried 2 of the unlock codes generated by the imei number that I put in and selected the current locked provider but got code error both times. I have triple check all numbers to be correct etc but no joy. It is my understanding that you only get 4 chances so the way I see it I have 2 chances not to fuck the phone up?

Can anyone help with a proper unlock solution?

the 6500s was a funny one, depending on software version some can be brute force attacke, some free and some via DM3 unlock only

try calling t-mob as they are part of orange they should be able to unlock and supply code

The whole point was to not buy anything, this phone is old but really well built unlike the cheapo plastic ones of today, she definitley wants to keep it nokia so the samsung is out. I will try as you say, call orange as its an orange phone that I want to use on tmobile.
