Second hand camera outlets...

Hi all,

Can anyone recommend a second hand camera outlet please.. the Mrs is after a Canon 5D but we can no way stretch to Brand new price at the mo....

They might have the 5D on offer in Costco at the mo, there were some fancy cameras on offer on the way in, I'll see how much they were in case they were much cheaper than high street (if it's the right one!)

Why buy a 5D? Full frame means you are limiting the ability to buy cheaper lenses to get you going as the EF-S lenses are no use to you. Has she done any research?

She has but is a newbie so still learning basically.. what would you recommend then ?? (she also liked the spec of the 6D)
Her main reason for the 5D is a friend who has a studio has several 5D's and has said she can borrow lenses whenever she wants e.t.c
I think she said something about wanting it to be full frame.. to be honest I have no idea what that even means, I guess she does tho..

not sure why you'd want a 5D range camera if you are trying to save cash, but with a camera of that calibre the s/h market should be more reliable. Usually people buying that sort of camera will look after it.

Agree.. but because she has regularly borrowed a 5D she is now spoilt.. and nothing else will do lol
I keep telling her we can't afford till she starts earning in her birth photography venture... but hey who am I to talk ;-)

Sorry mate I got the model mixed up - they had the following in today:

Canon EOS 1100D incl bag- �311.98 inc VAT
Canon EOS 650D incl lens and bag - �599.98 inc VAT

They're both cheaper on Amazon!
