Just wondered if other people have come to realise that we've been fed so much biased shite over the decades by our media and government and things aren't as 'simple' or one sided as they would have us believe in decades gone by?
Before the internet, I guess most of what we would generally know about world events (or even what was happening in our own country) was from either the mainstream British media or even our own parents.. who had an opinion of their own which was again based on what they read in the media and how they perceived it. I remember as a kid believing anyone with an Irish accent on the UK mainland was probably a terrorist - ignorant I know, but when you're a young lad, it's easier to be 'persuaded' into believing such things.
Now we live in an age of what seems like a plethora of information that gives more than one side to many political points and agendas.. I know there's even an element of bias in this sort of info, but if you cut through the crap it's definitely more complex than we have generally been led to believe in the past.
Personally, I think the Internet's been a positive attribute. Not only has it opened my eyes to much more than I would have or could have learnt without it, it's given a lot of people the chance to have 'discussions' on so many issues and I've learnt a lot regarding opposing views to my own which I've also learnt from.
