My Eye!

Hand held, lens pointing at my eye hit and miss method

... it took about 15 shots lol. Ideally, I should be using natural light or flash bounced I believe but I didn't have that option as it was night time hence the soft box reflection.

Great pic, crisp and clear and some crazy patterns in the iris - like some space portal!!

Do you think you could closer than this and focus on the iris? Just an idea

Also, sorry to lower the tone but if you turn your head to the right it looks like someone is peeping out of a fanny lol!

Yeah getting much closer is something I'd like to give a go for sure. Would need to use the extension tubes though so would have to be on tripod and I'd probably have to stick a piece of paper on the wall, get lined up and all that. LOL at your fanny comment. Crude but funny

Cheers Bod. I don't have black eyes, more a grey / blue but I guess the very close proximity of the camera and also the flash (which was increased in output) has darkened the iris.
