I voted that one because I really liked the shot, nowt wrong with the others but as an abstract I liked the composition and the colours i yours. Great shot soldier and don't feel like it was a default win.

Nope, it's a cracking shot, no hesitation and it would have stood out in a much bigger field (pardon the pun)

Thank you guys for the comments. The shot was taken in the field behind my home while I was taking the dog out for a walk. The wheat has since been harvested and rolled in to bales.

I voted for it because I thought the array of colours was lovely... plus it reminded me of some girl I knew many years back. Good times those were... bit scratchy but still, good times.

A worthy winner in my eyes, regardless of the amount of entries, got to get my arse out with the camera for this months comp, couldn't find anything worthy of an entry for the last couple of months, there is always stiff competition and rather than just bunging any old thing up, I'd rather have something which may prove to be competitive.

Your picture had just about everything in it, composition, colour range, bokeh, depth of field etc, it may have been just a snapshot to you but it is actually a well thought out shot, Take your win and enjoy it, it was deserved
