Default Wrapping 3D objects and creating GIFs

    How do chaps,

I'm a complete novice at this kinda stuff, but what I want to do is construct a cylinder, block or other 3d object then wrap it with a jpg image and make a rotating GIF of the object.

What's the best software to use, can it all be done with one package, is it a simple enough process to do?

Any pointers would be appreciated, thanks in advance

Xara is probably the easiest option http://www.xara.com/us/products/xara3d/

Get an older version of the software though if you do as the older ones are not so bloated with crap you don't need.
