Help Galaxy Note 2 Glass replacement

Well it finally happened, I have actually broke a mobile phone screen! Its the first one ive ever done since owning a screen so not too bad a record really, I dropped it on a car-park and the rubber surround case did its job it bounced up without touching the screen but when it landed again it must have landed on the smallest piece of gravel/stone and just clipped the centre of the screen, sending a crack from top to bottom of just the gorilla glass. Its perfectly usable and viewable and doesn't effect the phone in any other way but id like to get it fixed. Can anyone recommend anywhere that will replace it with the proper part? Id like it to be a proper genuine samsung part as im guessing there are tons of them out there that install copies, so I need someone that I can trust. Mobileman? are you still doing repairs? is this something you can do? Also am I right in my thinking about cheap glass? I want it to be as it was pre accident as its an almost new phone.insurance is hardly worth it as the excess is high.

    Cheers

I'm sure mobileman has said he'll swap the entire unit rather than just The glass

Assembly starts at £150 at cost for part only! Quoted one this morning. Mobileman might have a trade supplier though.

ive put this post here as i get about 3 PMs a week asking same questions

see my other post re S3 and the OCA bonding , the galaxy notes are the same
    http://www.digital-forums.com/showth...laxy-s3-screen

lcd frame and touch genuine complete £150ish depending on supply/colour, I can get cheaper but its volume based and not worth me sitting on loads and tying up cashflow !

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_od...nuine&_sacat=0

genuine part numbers are below and shipped in samsung box with factory seals
    GH97-14112A white
    GH97-14112B
    grey

you may as well order part and fit yourself about 10 screws , transfer vibrate motor and volume keys, take you 30 mins

be careful of sellers selling refurbished ones as new or graded as often these have copy glass installed and no OCA

If not id charge the following
    fitting £10
    carriage £7 special delivery

No point in me ordering the part as i dont hold stock on them due to the price as people tend claim on insurance on these and S3
but can do if you get stuck

    cheers

Yeah was a tiny piece of gravel that broke it I could see it, like a grain of sand, to be honest if I had of gotten the case that I wanted then it wouldn't have happened but they discontinued it at mobile fun site. Anyway looks like it could well be worth claiming on insurance then as thats less than 150 sheets I know that!!

I changed the glass on my S3 last week. Took me about 90 minutes. Just need to heat it up with a hairdryer. New glass cost me £12 off eBay.

yeah Ive seen people doing it on youtube, but with mixed results, also from what I can tell the note 2 is more difficult than the S3 also. Was that a copy glass I take it for 12 quid? Not official gorilla glass?
