Help Please re Canon 400D

Ok this is a long shot with some sketchy details.
Basically the wife is wanting to get a DSLR we have a fuji finepix S2000HD bridge camera and is wanting something a bit more professional.

Boss in work has just upgraded his kit and is selling a load of kit off.
What he has that I can remember is a 400d with standard lens
Long range lens think its a 70 > 350??
2 Flashes one I believe is a 530??
2 Camera bags one for the short lens on and one for the long lens on
4 filters
1 battery and charger
3 Memory cards

All boxed with cabling etc and in pristine condition.

He is asking £400 the lot is this worth it from what I have posted or should I look else where for bargains??

When it comes to photos I point and click with my iphone
I will try and get more details sorry the info is a bit sketchy.

Any advice would be apreciated

Sounds alright to me to be honest. Not sure on the price though as it is a long time since I looked at used gear. Have a look on talkphotography for similar in the classifieds to get a better idea.

Here's a 400D Bundle (camera, lenses & few extras) on eBay going for £250.00 at the mo.

Only looked for a few seconds so with a bit more digging, you may well get an ever better deal.

He's way off the mark.

You can get a brand new 1100D with decent kit lens for £280.

The 400 was a good camera but is old kit now. I wouldnt pay over 100 for the body, and maybe 250 for the package.

Seems harsh but we're talking obsolete second hand gear.
