    Happened to me yet again, was smoking a fag when a guy came to deliver a laptop. All he asked was the surname then handed it over and I signed. I know the surnames of everyone 4 houses each side from me as well as the surnames of the 6 or so houses opposite so I wouldn't say that's a decent method!

    Got to add to this DPD are one of the best out there at the moment, deiling with them from both a shipper and a receiver i`ve never had any issues with them..

    That system is very much live on our deliveries too (Yodel). We call it geocoding and we get a report through for every parcel that is scanned more than about half a mile away from where the postcode thinks it should be. Broken geocodes can be a reason for dismissal if the driver does it too many times or doesn't have a good explanation.

    I have to say DPD are my favourites, the 1 hour delivery slot is fantastic and I dont see why others haven't adopted that system yet.
