OK, got the video evidence m'lud
Taken in my sons bedroom as that is the furthest away from the roouter with the most walls in the way.
My router is just a standard wireless router from Sky:
System Details Manufacturer Sagemcom Model Number F@ST2504n Firmware Version 6.14.6a4N_UNI ADSL Firmware Version A2pD038m.d24h
Forgot to mention as well, that is running with two other sky hd boxes connected via Wifi and both streaming data, two laptops connected via Wifi and a wireless media SAN running
hmm, why the 2 big black hdmi cable connected to the tv?

Eh? One is a black coax leading to an outside analogue aerial. How do you explain the wireless settings screen that shows the wireless connected and the screen that shows the wireless is active 0:08 & 0:13
ahh yeah cheers pal, well I stand corrected an apologise. you are in a very very very small minority, I know loads of people have tried these including a lad who owns his own sat shop and hes not been able to get them working correctly.

in fact, I just dug one out that I have and tested it, whatever I try it just times out, its flaky when picking up networks with them dropping off at any point.
can you tell us the following info
1: what network are you on/provider
2: what are your current security settings for your wifi
what make was your dongle and do you have photos of the packaging
it will help us identify why yours works and many others do not
thanks for your valuable contribution so far m8

Nope, could not access the profile or see the link above (had to use a sneaky workaround I know to see the link you posted):
