Extra RAM for HP Proliant G7 N54L Microserver

I just bought one of the above servers and also bought this memory _http://www.amazon.co.uk/Komputerbay-1333Mhz-PC3-10600-PC3-10666-9-9-9-25/dp/B003OSTDPI/ref=sr_1_22?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1371070421&sr=1-22

The trouble is it wont post when the memory is installed. Can anyone shed any light on if I have bought incorrect memory?

There's a few people in the comments who've had the same problem with that memory in various other systems, one has it working in an N54L. To be honest I'd send it back for a refund and get something like Kingston or Crucial.

I've ordered the PC World memory as it is an exact match. Hopefully it will do the trick.

yes i tried both sticks individually and the machine dosnt post with either. Im gonna send it back. Can anyone link to a RAM that people know is compatible?

Had mine for £22 from PC World. Beat that!

Had ordered and received Corsair memory from Dabs for £44. Saw your post and decided to send back unopened and get from PC world at a cost of £29.98, so after the return postage of £4 I would still be a tenner up. Wasn't really the money, but your reassurance that the Integral memory from PC World worked OK, and was going near PC World today anyway so no fuel costs.

Pre-ordered for store pick up and payment on collection. When I got there the assistant said that the only ones matching my order did not have retail packaging so he could use his managerial discretion and knock a few quid more off. I was pleasantly surprised when he knocked off £4 each. So instead of £29.98 I paid £21.98. So ended up saving £18 over the Dabs price. Got him to write 'No Packaging' on the receipt just in case I need to return them. As far as I know these are OEM and don't come with retail packaging anyway. (">
